Forget those expensive toys who can resist sand and water. The children are exploring a tuff tray mixing materials, happily working together and being imaginative creating a building site...I think we should have put aprons on guys! Constructional toys help children develop concentration, recognise colours and shapes, use mathematical language and use their creativity and imagination.

Knowledge & Understanding of the World
The children enjoy looking after the pre-school fish helping them develop an understanding of caring for living things and finding out more about them...come on nibble my finger it tastes like fish food, honest! Anyone for fishing? Hope that’s not the pre-school fish! Developing skills of hand and eye co-ordination, colour recognition, exploring how tools work and turn taking.
